Subject – Aim

The MSc High Risk Pregnancy focuses on education, the advancement of knowledge and research in the field of high-risk pregnancy, as provided by all healthcare professionals.

The aim of the MSc High Risk Pregnancy is to:

  • provide education in the field of high-risk pregnancy, which is considered essential for the clinical and laboratory monitoring of pregnancy, as well as for the prevention, diagnosis and management of complications;
  • develop specialized human resources in the field of High Risk Pregnancy;
  • provide applied knowledge of new technologies in the field;
  • promote research at both diagnostic and therapeutic levels.

Upon completion of the Programme, graduates will be able to:

  • work in positions requiring a high level of knowledge and skills in the relevant scientific field;
  • staff maternity hospitals, gynaecological clinics, fetal medicine units and other healthcare structures in both the public and private sectors;
  • acquire the necessary scientific background to continue their studies as doctoral candidates.

The design of the MSc High Risk Pregnancy includes education and specialization in high-risk pregnancy, a broad and evolving field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as of many other clinical and laboratory medical specialties related to the management of pregnancy complications. Specialized knowledge in this field is internationally considered essential for the clinical and laboratory monitoring of pregnant women and for the prevention, diagnosis and therapeutic management of complications.
